PHJ press release by: Jessica Hein
It pays to show Paint Horses, as several exhibitors discovered firsthand at The International, an exclusive reining competition that took place September 23–27 in Denver, Colorado. There, top-placing registered Paint Horses were recognized with exclusive Gist Silversmiths trophy buckles, presented in several events by APHA.
The buckles came in addition to the competition’s rich purses and prizes, designed to recognize top APHA performers in select classes while also encouraging the registration and transfer of Paint Horses. Exhibitors, owners and show management alike were abuzz with excitement when word got out about the great APHA-sponsored awards.
“The buckles were a big hit,” said Alden Corrigan, sponsorship director for the event’s producer, Horsepower, Inc. “We loved having APHA as one of our partners, and we look forward to welcoming you all back to our 2016 shows!”
