One fun aspect of attending all the fall majors like the APHA World Show, ApHC World Show, All American Quarter Horse Congress, and AQHA World Show is the opportunity to see all the fun show names coming up in the next generation of show horses.
Yesterday, our #ECPhotoOfTheDay featured KM SuddenFriedChikin, a 2-year-old Western Pleasure horse by RL Best of Sudden and out of Zippin Good Chicken! We asked our Equine Chronicle fans on Facebook to share the most clever show names they’ve ever heard of, and we received a TON of responses. Scroll below to check them out.
Kathy Tobin– “None Of Your Business. It’s a true name. [You can’t believe] the looks I got when people asked me the name of my horse, and I’d respond None Of Your Business. That was the humor of a twenty-year-old smart aleck!”
Melanie Rutz Flynn– “There used to be a horse in the 90s named, Hey That’s My Number, so when they read the class results it was like, ‘In first place, number 17, Hey That’s My Number.’ It was kinda cute. I also remember My Socks Are Showing (a bay with four white socks) and My Diamond Ring.”
