The beginning days of the Congress are special for anyone in attendance. The air gets cooler while exhibitors and spectators alike begin to experience that unmistakable feeling because—the Congress is here.
For two cowgirl/mare teams, the 2017 Congress was marked as a lifelong memorable event. As the reining and cutting events took off, these two exhibitors were named Congress Champions for the first time.
Lidia Pedrozo and Tania Powell met five years ago in at the Columbus Airport when Lidia, an Ohio State Equestrian team member was asked to pick up Tania and take her to the All American Quarter Horse Congress.
