Team LIFELINE Training Tip #1- Jess Bergantzel Explains Proper Pole Approach and Stride Visualization

jessWhether you ride to win or for fun, there’s always more to learn to help improve your riding skills or fix behavior issues.

Last year, LIFELINE Equine posted 24 training tips from Team LIFELINE member and 2-time NRHA Reining Futurity Champion Craig Johnson. These tips ranged from assessing the skills of a horse before training begins to teaching your horse to trot, stop, run in controlled circles, lope in a circle, ride in an indoor arena and prepare for a show. More difficult tips included spinning your horse and using a cow simulator. Visit http://horse.watchthemthrive.com/about-lifeline/lifeline-challenge/ to see these tips.

Click here to watch the first tip of 2016, where Jess Bargantzel explains proper pole approach and techniques for stride visualization.

Will Knabenshue

Will grew up in a small town in Virginia competing in small, local Quarter Horse shows. He moved to Texas in 1997 and apprenticed as a horse trainer for ten years at different farms. He got married, then opened his own business in Whitesboro in 2004 and has been doing that ever since.

Will says he’s not typically a big supplement proponent. He feels that having to deal with supplements is a pain and can be costly. But he had some horses that were struggling with performance, weight and overall health. “I tried LIFELINE Equine performance supplements and in a short time saw significant results.” That’s when Will became a believer in LIFELINE. “The horses looked and performed much better after using LIFELINE and they just bloom more,” says Will. “This product truly helps the horse from the inside out and is a great overall wellness product.”

Being a part of Team LIFELINE is a natural move for Will. According to Will, “the product and the science just make sense to me, and I can explain the benefits to my clients.”

Will’s accomplishments include:

  • AQHA and NSBA judge
  • Multiple AQHA, APHA, PHBA World Championship Show champions and top 10s
  • AQHA Champion and Reserve Level 2 Champion, AQHA World Show
  • Multiple AQHA and PHBA Honor Roll titles
  • Multiple AQHA Quarter Horse Congress top 10s
  • Trained multiple NSBA World Championship Show champions and top 10s
  • Trained multiple All-Around Awards including 2x Reserve All-Around AQHA Level 1 Championship Show
  • Trained multiple AQHA Level 1 Champions including 2014 and 2015 Champion and Reserve Champion Amateur Equitation
  • Multiple Futurity Championships
