Susan Roberts and Only A Breeze Unanimous in Select Western Pleasure at 2013 AQHA Adequan Select World Show
The choice of the judges was crystal clear tonight in the Select Western Pleasure finals at the 2013 AQHA Adequan Select World Show. Susan Roberts and Only A Breeze, a sorrel mare by Invitation Only and out of Zippin The Breeze, were named the unanimous World Champions. Judging the class this evening were Mike Carter, Don Bell, John Tuckey, Lisa Krohn, and Cynthia Rucker.
Carrying on the winning tradition in true mother-daughter fashion was Susan Roberts with Only A Breeze, aka “Abby.” Just a few weeks ago, Susan found herself in the stands as her daughter, Hillary Roberts, was named the World Champion in Youth Western Pleasure at the 2013 AQHYA World Show aboard Whatscookngoodlookin. This evening, it was Susan’s turn to take a victory lap as she too was named World Champion in the same discipline.
The Reserve World Champion in the class was Bill Cosentino aboard Shez Only Coastin, a bay mare by Invitation Only and out of Vested Sunshine. Rounding out the top three was Rebecca Bailey with Ona Hot Summer Night, a chestnut mare by One Hot Krymsun and out of Ona Impulse. The pair was also the first place Intermediate winner in the class.

The second place Intermediate rider, Debby Brehm, came in fourth place with Sure Feels Good, a red roan gelding by Zippos Mr Good Bar and out of Our First Impulse. Randy Ratliff aboard Ima Good Rodder, a bay mare by Ima Zippo Good Bar and out of Hot Roddin Vickie, came in third in the Intermediate placings.
