Stay Tuned for SmartPak Clinics at Intl. Hoof Care Summit in February

For the second year in a row, SmartPak is an Educational Partner of the International Hoof Care Summit, which will be held in in Cincinnati, Ohio, from February 3-6, 2015.

Jessica Normand, SmartPak’s Senior Director of Equine Health, and Danvers Child, CJF, SmartPak’s Hoof Health Consultant, are partnering up for a presentation on The Four Key Factors That Affect Hoof Health. This hour-long workshop will help farriers understand how exercise, environment and nutrition are important factors that complement regular, professional maintenance when it comes to maintaining a strong, healthy hoof. This special foot care clinic will be hosted on Tuesday, February 3 at both 9:00am and 11:00am, is free for attendees, and requires pre-registration.

For farriers looking for even more information on horse nutrition, Jessica will also be presenting Ten Easy Equine Nutrition Takeaways. This 20-minute clinic will be offered three times on Tuesday, February 3 between 4:15-5:30pm. Farriers will leave this fun session armed with practical information to help better answer their clients’ feeding questions. American Farriers Journal will also post a video of this classroom session to their website and YouTube channel in late February 2015.

On Thursday, February 5, Danvers will present Seeing the Forest, the Trees and the Horse’s Foot. This in-depth classroom session will help farriers develop strategies for relating specific elements of anatomy and mechanics to the whole foot and the whole horse.

The International Hoof Care Summit features the industry’s largest trade show, which will be open to attendees. SmartPak will be participating in the trade show – attendees are welcome to visit booth #711 for some exciting giveaways!
