Texas drivers have the opportunity to purchase an American Quarter Horse specialty license plate through the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. These plates are the perfect way to show your love and support of America’s favorite equine breed – the American Quarter Horse.

By purchasing an American Quarter Horse license plate, you will also be contributing to the American Quarter Horse Foundation. The Foundation supports scholarship funds, equine research, therapeutic riding and the preservation of the history of the breed we love through the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum.

Go to the TxDMV website to purchase your plates today! Ordering is easy and allows you to order online or by mail. The license plates are $30 annually, plus the yearly registration fee. Your purchase donates $22 to support the Foundation programs. You can also personalize your plates for a onetime fee of $40.

Not a Texan, but still want to show your love and support for the American Quarter Horse? You can order American Quarter Horse souvenir plates. These plates are not street legal but make perfect decorations, great souvenirs, gifts and prizes. The souvenir plates cost $20, plus an extra $20 to personalize them. TxDMV gives $10 of each plate purchased to the Foundation and $20 if the plate is personalized.
