The 40th anniversary of the Silver Dollar Circuit showed a continued uphill swing for this fantastic circuit. Boasting over 11,000 entries, the Senior, Amateur, and Select Trail were each nine point classes. That’s not to mention the huge points put up in the Senior Western Riding, Amateur Horsemanship, Senior Pleasure, and all of the Showmanship classes. But points aren’t the only draw for this show!
With plenty of family fun, a convenient facility, and the heart of Vegas at your fingertips, Silver Dollar Circuit delivers on a multitude of levels. Exhibitors rave about the convenience that having the hotel and show facility under one roof provides, the talent level of competitors, and how much FUN they have at the Silver Dollar.

Open rider, Ashley Dunbar-Clock, remarks, “I love that the class numbers are so big, and it’s so nice to show at a great facility. Being able to walk from your stalls to dinner and then upstairs to your room is an unparalleled luxury.”
Amateur competitor, Angela Fox, also mirrors these sentiments. “I love showing at the Silver Dollar Circuit,” she says. “The numbers are all really good, the competition is world class, and it’s so fun to be able to stay in a nice hotel and casino and just take the elevator down to show your horse!”

Libby Haydon loves that the show draws competitors from all over the United States. “South Point is my favorite place to show! Everything is so easy, comfortable, and convenient; not to mention fun! Not only that, it’s centrally located so I get to see friends from all over the Southwest!”
2016 Amateur Ranch Riding Circuit Champion, Lauren Crivelli, says, “The Silver Dollar Circuit is hands down one of my favorite shows. It’s a great facility, not only to show your horse in, but it’s a great place to meet with friends and family. There are so many different activities and restaurants available that it makes showing horses fun!”

Big numbers and happy exhibitors certainly made for a brag worthy 2016! With the 2017 dates just being released this week, the Silver Dollar Circuit will now run from February 24th-March 1st next year! Be sure to pencil these dates in your show schedule and book your hotel early. The show was so popular this year that the hotel sold out weeks before the event.
