“It was a philosophical more than a financial decision,” says Congress Chair Casey West, when asked the reasoning behind the “Show to 8 Judges/Pay for 4 Judges” concept. Making the Congress as affordable as possible for the majority of exhibitors was imperative to the Kansas Paint Horse Association board. While show management cannot control, nor do we want to, the high level of competition at larger APHA shows, show management can control the expense to exhibitors. KPHA felt it was important to give back to our exhibitors.”
Taking advantage of this special entry fee structure requires:
*Entries must be made on or before July 14. No advance payment is required.
*Exhibitors must enter and show in the same number of classes under the second set of four judges as entered and shown under the first set of four judges. Exhibitors can increase the number of classes while at the show under both sets of four judges as long as the exhibitor and horse information has been supplied and entered in the computer on or before July 14th.
*Office charges apply under all eight judges.
*Stalls reservations are due on or before July 14th. Payment is required.
“The key is the number of classes,” Casey says. “We don’t care if an exhibitor switches to other classes, as long as the number of classes in which they’re entered and shown under the first set of judges remains constant or increases under the second set of judges.”
The 2015 Worldwide Paint Horse Congress will take place at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex, Wednesday, July 29th-Sunday August 2nd. For more information visit www.wwphc.com.
