Equitation Over Fences Rider of the Month: Elizabeth Benson, Auburn
- Earned her 10th career MVP honor in fences, defeating her opponent from UT-Martin, 83-72.
- Helped lead Auburn to a 3-2 win in fences against the Skyhawks and a 13-7 road win as a team.
- Broke the school’s combined career wins record with 69. Now has 70 career victories combined between flat and fences.
Equitation On The Flat Rider of the Month: Amelia Vernon, South Carolina
- Made her competition debut in the Gamecocks’ win at South Dakota State.
- Won her first career point and first career MVP in the same meet.
- Defeated her opponent from South Dakota State, 86-83.
- Part of a 5-0 sweep for the Gamecocks in equitation on the flat.
Horsemanship Rider of the Month: Logan Pluhar, Texas A&M
- The NCEA National Horsemanship Rider of the Month for September.
- Earned MVP honors and a meet-best score of 77 in horsemanship in Texas A&M’s competition at No. 1 Georgia.
- Defeated her opponent from Georgia by 3.5 points.
- Holds the SEC’s highest score this season in horsemanship.
- Helped the Aggies win the western discipline, 6-3, against the top-ranked Bulldogs in Texas A&M’s narrow 10-9 loss at Georgia.
- Pluhar earned her first MVP honor since the 2013-14 season.
Reining Rider of the Month: Lauren Garmon, Georgia
- Outscored her opponent from No. 7 Texas A&M 74-73, receiving the highest score of the event for the day and earning MVP honors.
- Garmon’s point for Georgia was the only point scored for the Bulldogs in reining against the Aggies.
- Helped Georgia earn a 10-9 victory against Texas A&M in the conference opener for both teams.
