Friends of equestrian, Amy Engleskirger, have set up a GoFundMe fundraising account following an accident that took place during the Quarter Horse Congress. On Monday, October 18th, Amy was practicing her Showmanship pattern when her horse’s hoof caught her boot, and she fell hard in the dirt. After a few days of no improvement, she was sent to the ER where she was diagnosed with a displaced fracture of the ball of her femur. She was in surgery on Sunday morning and needed to have a total hip replacement.
As a self-employed member of the horse industry, Amy doesn’t have adequate health insurance and is facing a lengthy rehabilitation. Click on the link below to help assist in her recovery.
