According to local news station KRDO News Channel 13, there is a very disturbing story coming out of Black Forest, Colorado this week. Apparently, a neighbor stumbled upon the decomposing carcasses of approximately a dozen horses located in a barn near her home. Living among the squalor and filth is a group of surviving animals including AQHA cutting horse stallion Dual Peppy.
However, (as of 9/21) while the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case, veterinarians have reportedly not been called in, the surviving horses are still under the care of their owners, and the Humane Society has not been contacted, which has prompted public outrage that continues to grow.
