PtHA July Wrangler Exhibitor of the Month- Faren Anderson

July’s Wrangler Exhibitor of the Month is Faren Anderson of Pawhuska, Okla. Anderson is an Amateur exhibitor who has been showing horses for 10 years. Anderson shows two Pintos: Zips For Scotch, known as Scotch, and A Nite to Remember, known as Pickles.

Scotch is a 10-year-old mare that Anderson raised. Together, Anderson and Scotch have shown in multiple Oklahoma Pinto shows for the past nine years. This horse has also been the runner up, twice, for the Pinto Zone Invitational, Anderson said.

Pickles is a 4-year-old gelding. He has won four Pinto World Championships and one Reserve Pinto World Championship.

“I love showing because it gives me a goal to work toward with my horses,” Anderson said.

Recently, Anderson has been sharing her passion for horses with her 8-year-old nephew who shows in Youth Walk/Trot classes with both Scotch and Pickles.

“I absolutely love to see him learn and grow with both Scotch and Pickles; and it has been an amazing ride,” Anderson said. “Pinto shows give me the opportunity to share my love and knowledge of horses with my nephew.”
