The Equine Chronicle would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to Monte Ruden and his family following a devastating horse accident that took place on January 2nd, 2019.
Scott Boe has provided the following statement.
“On January 2nd, Monte was in a terrible accident with a horse. He was airlifted from the farm to Mayo Hospital in Rochester. His initial surgery was 12 hours to stop the internal bleeding. He has since gone through four additional surgeries to fix a broken femur in his right leg and to repair his intestines. He will be at St Mary’s for two to three more weeks. Due to the severity of his injuries, myself and his family have held off making this public.”
“Things in life can change in the blink of an eye. We thank you in advance for your thoughts and prayers. It will be a long road ahead, but he is making great progress.”
“Monte’s birthday is next week, January 16th. It would be so wonderful if you have the time to send him a birthday/get well soon card in the mail.”
