AQHA competitors gathered in Harlansburg, New Castle, PA. May 31st – June 3rd for the Tri State Quarter Horse Association Summer Celebration. Over the course of the 4-day event, exhibitors showed to five judges, including Kerry Allen, Jim Dudley, Cindy Rucker, Derek Hanscome, and Lance Treptow.
A number of fun events were held at the show, including the TSQHA Youth Club’s No Bling class on June 2nd. The entry fee of $10 served as a donation to the youth club and provided the chance to win first place and a $250 gift certificate to Stephanie Joslin/Custom Couture. Also held on June 2nd, was the always popular Puppy Trail. The entry fee of $5 also benefited the youth club.
2018 TSQHA Queen Mariah Sherer made an appearance at the show to hand out awards. This equestrienne is a Senior at Ohio State University where she is double majoring in Chemistry and Life Sciences.
A big congratulations goes to High Point Champions at the show. Emma Tetrick and FF Chute Out A Mr won the Small Fry division. The Level 1 Amateur Champion was Lory Maimone with Smooth Sunny Terms. Shannon Call and Blue Moon Fizz won both the Amateur and Open divisions. The Select Champion was Laura Kapopoulos with Just Sophisticated.
The Level 1 Youth Champion and Youth Champion was Khylee Maglione with Certain To Be Good. The Level 1 Amateur Walk/Trot Champion was Madalyn Begonia with Looks Hot N Crystals. Winning L1 Youth Walk Trot was Ashley Secrest with Krymsun Tide.
