Photos and Results From IPHC Early Bird

As is often at most horse shows, the early bird exhibitors got the worm at the recent Iowa Paint Horse Club Early Bird Show, which took place April 13-14 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Judges for the show were Stephanie McConnell, David Boggs, Brad Kearns, and Daren Wright.

Some of the big winners included Sabrina Seehafer with All That I Got, receiving a first in Amateur Walk Trot Showmanship, Lexa Winn with Heza Flamin Cajun in 18 and Under Showmanship, and Lindsay McLain with Al I Wanna Do in Amateur Showmanship.

In the Hunt Seat pen, Sydney DePauw and All Day Every Day earned a first place finish in 18 and Under Hunter Under Saddle; Laura Spell and LX Just Call Me Fancy did the same in Open Hunter Under Saddle, and Madison Alliss rode Fancy With Time to earn a first in Novice Youth Hunter Under Saddle.

When it came time for Equitation, Carol Timke and Born To Be Good found themselves at the top of the leaderboard in Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation. Sydney Hatcher and Only Good Intentions received a first in 18 and Under Equitation.

In Western Pleasure, Wade Spell and Say You Due received a first in Green Western Pleasure, as well as Jill Stenroos with My Daddy’s The Best in Amateur Walk Trot Western Pleasure, and Emma Graves with Over Infleeted in Walk Trot Western Pleasure. Alexa Grace Hattan rode Yours Only to receive a first in 18 and under Western Pleasure, as well as Jessi Lueth with By Assets Only in Senior Western Pleasure, Caitlin Hull with VS Hot Mess in Novice Amateur Western Pleasure, and Amy Heitland with Lifeline in Amateur Western Pleasure.

In Horsemanship, Raigen Furness and BMQ Invest in Dreams found themselves at the top in Amateur Horsemanship, as well as Laurie Koenig with By Assets Only in Novice Amateur Horsemanship, and Sydney Hatcher with Only Good Intentions in 18 and Under Horsemanship.

In the Trail pen, Lexa Winn and Heza Flamin Cajun received a first in Youth Trail 18 and Under, as well as Hannah Lind with Notice Me In Black in Open Trail, Erika Law with Shes A Classicimpulse in Amateur Trail, and Brady Hattan with Yours Only in Novice Youth Trail.
