The Illinois Paint Horse Association recently held their Autumn Color Classic Show September 14th at 4 Rocks Arena. Judges for the show were Rick Bailey and James Dudley.
Congratulations to some of the big winners at the show! Bob Ross with The Boss Impulse and Lorna Wyrick with Lazy Loper On Scotch split the judges’ decision in All Age Performance Halter Geldings. Amateur Halter Mares All Ages was won by Michelle Terpening with All Spicey. This was also the Grand Champion Mare. The Grand Champion Gelding was Mr Sun Tea, led by Jamie Chiddix. Novice Amateur Showmanship was won by Tammy Morris with I Got The Goods. Mallory Pohren and Gettin Awesome Too won Youth Showmanship 18 and Under. Patty Douglas and Red Hot Frankie won Masters Showmanship.
Novice Youth Hunter Under Saddle was won by Laura McFadden with All Time Rockin. Lori Sedlock and All Steele Jet won Novice Amateur Hunter Under Saddle. Sydney Depauw and All Time Rockin won Senior Hunter Under Saddle. Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation All Ages was won by Kristy Doyle with Gentlemen Set Trends.
Youth Walk Trot Western Pleasure and Horsemanship were won by Emma Quinton with Shes Fancy and Famous. Green Western Pleasure was won by John Kayser with Lazy Loper On Scotch. Novice Youth Western Pleasure 18 and Under was won by Emma Long with Hesa Love Machine. Mark Merriman and Guaranteed Sensation won Junior Western Pleasure. Lorna Wyrick and Lazy Loper On Scotch won Masters Western Pleasure.
Amateur SPB All Ages was won by Kristy Doyle with O Where Is My Spot. Laura Merriman rode The Dirty One to win Novice Amateur Western Horsemanship. Alexa Hattan and Yours Only won Youth Horsemanship 18 and Under. Izzy Hostetler and Zipped Up Fancy won Youth Walk Trot Trail. Tammy Morris and I Got The Goods won Amateur Walk Trot Trail. Novice Youth Trail was won by Brady Hattan with Yours Only.
Coming up next for IPHA is the Fall Shootout, which will take place October 4-6 at Gordyville with judges Kendra Weis, John Tabb, Steve Lackey, and Mike Carter.
