The 2019 Gordyville Classic Futurity and Shootout took place July 18-21 at Gordyville USA in Gifford, IL. The event consisted of four AQHA shows and two LLQHA approved shows with judges, Elizabeth Baker, Steve Meadows, Jon Barry, John Briggs, Suzy Jeane, and Andrea Simons officiating.
In addition to large class sizes throughout the show, there were several special Gordyville Shootout classes that crowned big winners and awarded even bigger checks.
Morgan Brickham was the winner of Shootout Showmanship (Baker, Meadows, Barry) with Lazy Lookin Lady and received a $250 check. The Reserve Champion was Nicole Barnes with One Kool Fool, winning $180. Third was Mallory Vroegh with No Doubt My Maria, winning $130. Fourth was Tammy Dewey with Rios Marecedes, winning $100. Fifth was Patty Bogosh with Firstoneinlastoneout, winning $85.
The winner of Shootout Hunter Under Saddle (Baker, Meadows, Barry) was Alexa Frencl with BMQ Almost Illegal, winning $200. Second place was Beth Moon with Just One A The Boys, winning $150. Third was Tracie Petersak with Only Sparks Fly, winning $100. Fourth was Mary O’Malley with Orange Is The Newbay, winning $75. Fifth was Isabella Gerlach with Hez All Krymsun, winning $75.
There was a tie for the winner of the Shootout Western Pleasure (Briggs, Jeane, Simons) between Patty Bogosh with Firstoneinlastoneout and Katie Kopf with Two Ziplines. Third was Sherri Banta with Laced N Elegant. Fourth was Kristina Wood with All In A Good Bay. Fifth was Alexa Frencl with Earn An Invitation.
