Photos and Results From 2015 American Royal

The 2015 American Royal Horse Show wrapped up over the weekend in Kansas City, Missouri with 5,000 entries recorded in all divisions! Judges for the show were Jonathan Meilleur, Michael Colvin, Clint Fullerton, Suzy Jeane, Clark Scoggin, and Merle Arbo.

Several special events took place during the show, including the Joe’s BBQ Exhibitor’s Party that was sponsored by Mid Rivers Equine Centre, an Ice Cream Float Social sponsored by the McGuire and Hart families, and The American Royal Feast. During the Royal Feast, each barn served their own signature dish and were judged for the chance to win the coveted title of “Most Spectacular Host” and a crystal trophy. There were many delicious dishes, like Hillbilly Hot Wings and Redneck Refreshments from Mike Tivoli and Jon Barry, Pork Loin and Baked Beans from WHP Quarter Horses, and Smoked Pizza from Robin Frid Show Horses. But it was Diamond R Quarter Horses with their award winning chili that won the title.

During the competition, two scholarship winners received $750 scholarships and award belt buckles: Alexandra Beckman with Chips Moves Me (14-18) and Paige Wellendorf with Good To Be Sudden (novice youth and 13 and under).
