Personal Training Coming to 2018 QH Congress With BaseCampEQ

“Thousands of hours of preparation. Countless miles hauling from show to show in pursuit of the next big win. Blood, sweat, tears. The highest highs and the lowest lows. Weeks on end of pushing yourself and your horses to become the best. You ARE an athlete. It’s time the world starts treating you like one.”

Intrigued? This is the tagline for a new service that’s being rolled out at the 2018 All American Quarter Horse Congress by Dr. Ali Hartman, Manger of Pro-Activity North Carolina, who also happens to be the wife of horse trainer, Jake Hartman.

Have you ever wondered why, at the biggest show of the year, our horses are in peak physical condition, and yet, our own physical performance tends to decline? Aches and pains from long days, and nights, of practice, the inevitable Congress Crud seeping into our systems, and the inability to keep up with our regular workout regime all wreak havoc on our ability to compete at our best.

Consider professional football players in the NFL. On game day, they have access to fitness coaching, physical therapy services, and a personalized health care team assembled to help them perform at an elite level. Why don’t equestrians?

Hartman is hoping to bring that to the Congress this year with Pro-Activity’s BaseCampEQ, October 13-28 in Columbus, Ohio, right on the Ohio State Fairgrounds. The program will include onsite personal and group fitness sessions, housed above the Voinovich building, 24/7 access to game day management, around the clock physical therapy services, and personalized health and wellness coaching.

The group fitness schedule at the Congress is as follows:

Monday-Saturday class options

  • 6:00 am
  • 7:00 am
  • 9:30 am
  • 12:30 pm
  • 3:30 pm
  • 4:30 pm

Game day management, physical therapy, and health coaching is available by appointment, with the exclusion of group fitness class times. Personal or small group training is also available by appointment. While group fitness classes will be held above the Voinovich building, all other services can be brought directly to your stalls.

For more information, including full schedule, services offered, and information on signing up, visit pro-activity.com/basecampeq or text or call Ali Hartman at (609) 605-9058. Dr. Hartman will be live on Facebook tomorrow at 6 pm EST to answer questions about workout classes, hours, and physical therapy, so be sure to tune in.
