PHJ press release by: Rachel Florman
Champions are made long before they actually arrive in the show pen. A winning ride is the culmination of hours and hours of sweat, hard work, practice and determination.
As the AjPHA Youth World Championship Show looms near, put the final touches on your performance by studying up on the official patterns you’ll encounter in Fort Worth—the Youth World Show and the NSBA Color of Money pattern books are now available.
More than 50 classes at the Youth World Show and the Color of Money require exhibitors to individually perform a pattern for judges. Patterns are created and made available for free in partnership with horseshowpatterns.com.

Once you’ve tucked your Paint in at the Will Rogers Memorial Center, make plans to attend Ride the Pattern on Friday, June 26, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the John Justin Arena. Volunteer riders will execute each division’s horsemanship, equitation and showmanship patterns, and a Youth World Show judge will break down each pattern and answer audience questions.
