PHJ press release by: Megan Brincks
Paints excelled in almost every class at the 2014 Breeders Halter Futurity on September 10–13 in Des Moines, Iowa.
In Amateur Weanling Fillies, Intended Too, pictured at left, topped the class of 48 horses with exhibitor Chris Page. “Rosie,” a 2014 sorrel solid mare by My Intention (QH) and out of B BS Prissie Girl, was bred and is owned by Chris and Amy Page of Independence, Missouri.
Chris says programs like the BHF have helped provide financial return and breeder recognition, for which he and his family are incredibly thankful.
“Amy and I decided we were going to give the BHF a shot a year ago to see if this would boost our program in the right direction,” Chris explained.
They chose to breed their proven producer B BS Prissie Girl to My Intention, a choice the Pages are pleased with–they have another foal by him coming in 2015.
“We look forward to supporting these great futurities for years to come. A big thanks to all those who made it possible!” he said.
Congratulations to all the Paints who represented the breed at the Breeders Halter Futurity:
