Continue reading …During the Challenge, an estimated $10,000 in scholarship money was awarded to youth competitors. The winner of the Small Fry division was Emma Gore with He’s Suddenly Handsom, receiving $1,000. The Reserve Champion was Addison Icenhour with Lovin This Potential, receiving $500. The Novice Youth Champion was Faith Dilillo with Willy Quite Precious, receiving $1,000. The Reserve Champion was Natalie Hilty with Rock On Mr Cool, winning $500.
Continue reading …Man o’ War (March 29, 1917 – November 1, 1947) is widely considered to be one of the greatest racehorses of all time. The chestnut Thoroughbred stallion, nicknamed “Big Red” was not only a legend of the turf (Two Year Old Colt, Three Year Old Male, Horse of the Year) but he was also a prolific sire (Leading Sire in North America in 1926 and sire to the great War Admiral among others). His line is still prominent to this day. Man o’ War was named to the US Racing Hall of Fame in 1957.

Continue reading …In 2018, an expanded entry fee structure replaces the Select Sale, and all Breeders’ Trust-nominated Regular Registry Paints are eligible to enter the Farnam Pleasure Stakes. Additionally, all Breeders’ Trust-nominated solid Paint-breds who have been genetically tested and carry a known Paint pattern marker (Tobiano; Frame Overo; Sabino 1; Splash White 1, 2 or 3; Dominant White 5, 10 or 20, confirmed through APHA-approved genetic testing) are eligible to compete with the Regular Registry horses.
