Continue reading …The annual Youth Team Tournament, which took place June 28 at the 2017 AjPHA Youth World Championship Show, saw tough-but-fun competition from Youth all over the country in the spirit of camaraderie. Ultimately, though, Team Texas Spurs came out on top.

Beth Case aboard Hubbout a Dance braved the mud and captured the first circuit of the Hunter Under Saddle in the junior division.
Continue reading …Circuit champions in the Novice were Ava Pratt with Sleepin I Will Be. In 13 & Under, it was Isabella Himes with Assets Miss Reba. The L2 14-18 circuit champions were Kenzi Bailey with Rollin N Chocolate. Finally, in the L3 14-18, Grace Ann Himes won with Essentially Good.

Continue reading …Coming in as the returning Champion from last year’s event, Chase knew he had the ability to claim another big win with Miley, but with his graduation to an older age division there were no guarantees. “I thought I had a good chance,” he says. “She’s really soft, and she’s usually in a good mood. She’s easy to work with. My favorite part of riding her is loping. She’s the smoothest one I’ve ridden.”

The Reserve Champion was Devyn Ritchey with Inspired By Real. Third place was Kaiya Kolb with Sacred Indigo Sky.
