Continue reading …AQHA walk-trot classes are making their debut at the 2018 AQHA West, AQHA Central and Nutrena East Level 1 Championships this spring. Also new this year, there are no qualifying requirements to show at the AQHA Level 1 Championships. Beginning with the 2018 events, all Level 1- and Rookie-eligible exhibitors are welcome to compete at one of the Level 1 Championships.

– The Paint Horse Championship must take place at a 1-, 2-, 3- or 4-judge show within the host zone.
– The event cannot take place at a Zone show.
– Exhibitors’ eligibility criteria has been modified:
– Halter exhibitors cannot have placed in the Top Five in a halter class at the APHA World Championship Show within the last 10 years (2009–2018) or won a Paint Horse Championship halter class the previous year.
– Performance exhibitors cannot have placed in the Top 10 in a performance class at the APHA World Championship Show within the last 10 years (2009–2018) or won a Paint Horse Championship halter class the previous year.
– Horse eligibility restrictions based on past World Show performances have been eliminated.
– Paint Horse Championship entry fees cannot exceed $20 per class
New in 2018, Level 3 13-&-Under core world championship classes will be added to the Ford Youth World. Exhibitors can qualify to compete in Level 3 13-&-Under western pleasure, hunter under saddle, horsemanship, hunt seat equitation, showmanship, ranch riding and trail at the Ford Youth World.
