This past year, AQHA Executive Vice President Don Treadway announced his intention to retire in 2015 after forty years with the American Quarter Horse Association. Mr. Treadway has seen AQHA grow from a few thousand horses in America to the largest equine breed registry and membership organization in the world. It was Julie Smith’s turn to show a horse of her very own today in Amateur 2-Year-Old Stallions, her first time competing at the World Show in nine years, and she was able to come away with a World Champion title. Smith’s partner for the class today was PF Kid Supreme, a sorrel stallion by the late MH Supremo and out of Kids Securitee.
