Riders Announced For AQHA World Collegiate Horsemanship Challenge

Sixteen collegiate equestrian riders have been chosen to participate in the 2015 American Quarter Horse Association Collegiate Horsemanship Challenge, set for November 15-16 as part of the Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show to be held in Oklahoma City, Okla., the National Collegiate Equestrian Association selection committee announced Wednesday.

The item that brought the highest amount was lot number 5281, a Luc Childeric English Saddle, which went for $2,040. The lot that received the most bids was lot number 5026, which consisted of two pair of western spurs engraved with “RC.” 115 bids were registered and the lot sold for $755.

Both colts are descendants of APHA legend Delta Flyer, winner of the 1986 National Cutting Horse Association Super Stakes and 2015 inductee to the APHA Hall of Fame. They’re well suited for a future in Cutting, Reining, Cow Horse, Team Penning, Ranch Sorting, or Ranch Work.
