Continue reading …When Quincy went to Texas A&M in 1998, no varsity equestrian program existed, although it was added the next year in 1999. When she graduated in 2002, Quincy had won six national championships. Her list of accomplishments outshines any equestrian before or since. Her humble spirit and determination for excellence has served her greatly during her entire career. It has been my great privilege to know and watch Quincy for almost seven years while riding with her mother, Nancy Cahill.
Continue reading …Thomas and Mimsi Roe Coon of Pilot Point, Texas, were named the 2016 Oklahoma City Convention &Visitors Bureau Leading Owner. The Coons’ American Quarter Horses earned a total of 117 points by competing in 17 classes. Their top honors include the world championship titles in weanling fillies and amateur 3-year-old geldings, and the reserve championship titles in amateur weanling stallions, amateur 2-year-old mares and amateur weanling fillies.

Continue reading …Today, Courtney Brockmueller shared the saddle with her almost three-year-old son, Brim, aboard Boys Move Over, for the cutest victory lap we’ve ever seen, this afternoon at the AQHA World Championship Show. But this isn’t the first victory lap for Brim. The last time Courtney won Amateur Hunter Under Saddle was in 2013 with a horse named Allocate In Blue. At that time, she was pregnant with Brim and due in only a couple of months.
