In the Summary of Minutes from the July 15th ApHC Board of Directors Special Meeting of the Appaloosa Horse Club, it was determined that the Appaloosa Youth World Show and Nationals will move from Fort Worth to Indianapolis for 2021. The motion also included entering in a contract for the 2021, 2022, and 2023 shows.
Continue reading …$89,500 is the purse for the third annual Western Pleasure Sale Stakes class, which includes $10,000 for limited riders added by OQHA. There will be Open and Non Pro divisions with the purse being prorated based on the number of entries showing. The 2019 entries will compete for the purse money, titles, and their place on the Vic Clark Perpetual trophies.
Continue reading …APHA is accepting national director nominations from regional clubs and individuals through August 15—any APHA member in good standing can be nominated as a national director. If elected, national directors serve a three-year term (2020–2022) and are asked to vote on rule change proposals and other matters of importance to the association in the best interest of their representative area.
Continue reading …For the first time, The Buckeye Horse Show has been split apart into two events- The Little Buckeye and The BWHA Classic. For many years, The Buckeye was the combination of the Little Buckeye and Buckeye Classic, by way of a partnership between the BWHA (Buckeye Western Horse Association) and OAQHA (Ohio Amateur Quarter Horse Association). This year, the clubs made the joint decision to hold two separate shows to allow the associations to better focus on their individual goals for the events.

Ford Youth World attendees have the opportunity to visit with colleges and universities at the college fair 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 6 and 7 in Section 300 in the Jim Norick Arena.
