Our condolences go out to Sharin Hall on the passing of Dreaming Of Foose. Dreaming Of Foose was injured while competing in the junior barrel racing on November 15 at the Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City.
Dreaming Of Foose was immediately examined by Dr. Sherry Johnson of Equine Sports Medicine, the onsite show veterinarian, at the Lucas Oil World.
“The mare became acutely lame during her barrel racing run and was provided emergency medical care. It was quickly determined to be in the horse’s best interest to be transported to a referral hospital. She was loaded into a trailer following medication administration to ease the pain and help control inflammation, but passed away en route,” stated Dr. Dave Frisbie of Equine Sports Medicine.
As an association of horsemen we understand the depth of this terrible loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with Sharin during this time.
