Members of the Oklahoma State Equestrian team made a special trip to The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis in Tulsa on Monday to meet some of their biggest fans. The Cowgirls visited children who have been diagnosed or are already in their battle with cancer as well as kids with various other illnesses on different floors at Saint Francis.
“It was a very uplifting experience and it felt really good to put a smile on the kid’s faces,” returning All-American Jorden Davis said.
Joining Davis on the trip were Cowgirls Taylor Hickam, Amy White and Audrey Montgomery, Assistant Coach Sammy Elser and Director of Operations Sarah Adcock. The team provided the children with OSU T-shirts and pillowcases, but it was the children who provided the team with a rewarding experience.
“They were such an inspiration and I hope I have the opportunity to go visit them again soon,” Davis said.
The Cowgirls kick off their season on September 26 against SMU at Totusek Arena in Stillwater.
