OQHA Guidelines For In-State Qualifying For 2014 AQHA Novice Championship Show

Please read below for the OQHA guideliness for in-state qualifying to the 2014 AQHA Novice Championship Show East held in Murfeesboro, Tennessee.
Qualifying Period:
Madness In March, March 29-30, 2014 – June 30, 2014
Qualifying Guidelines:
There guidelines will follow current Ohio Quarter Horse Association points, rules, and regulation as outlined in the current OQHA Official Rulebook.
- All Novice Youth and Novice Amateur exhibitors must place at a minimum of 10 OQHA approved shows (show to 10 judges).
- Exhibitors must be a member in good standing with AQHA and OQHA.
- Points will be compiled on a one horse, one exhibitor basis.
- Points will be awarded on the basis of one point for each horse the exhibitor defeats, with a maximum of 30 points awarded for each class.
- In the event of a tie, the exhibitor placing in the most shows during the stated qualifying period will break the tie. The next tie will be broken by the exhibitor having the most number of firsts.
- Exhibitor must reside in Ohio.
- OQHA will submit the top 3 point earning exhibitors in each of the qualifying novice classes to AQHA by August 01, 2014.
