Oklahoma City, OK – The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Hall of Fame was created in 2005 to recognize outstanding individuals, horses, ranches or businesses whose contributions involving the American Quarter Horse significantly impacted the great state of Oklahoma’s equine industry.
The 20th Annual prestigious Oklahoma Quarter Horse Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will held Saturday January 25, 2025, at Embassy Suites by Hilton, Oklahoma City Downtown Medical Center, 741 N Phillips Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73104; (405) 239-3900.
The ceremony and dinner are a ticketed event and is open to the public. Tickets are available for $60 for adults and $30 for children under 18 and may be purchased from the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association. Dependent on the generosity of donors, anyone interested in sponsoring an inductee or their award will find information on the OQHA website.
The 2024 Inductees are:
Leonard Berryhill, Talala OK is the 2019 Nutrena Don Burt AQHA Professional Horseman of the Year. Berryhill has served AQHA as a member of the AQHA Judges Committee, has also been involved with teaching AQHA judges for several years and has served as a judges workshop clinician for both western riding and roping. He served as an AQHA National Director, director for the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association and is currently the OQHA past president. Berryhill was also honored at the 2017 Most Valuable Professional for the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association.
Berryhill has been an AQHA Professional Horseman since 1996 and AQHA judge since 1997. He has judged the Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show; Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show; AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan®; AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships; and All American Quarter Horse Congress. He, his wife, Leigh, and their son, Thompson, own and operate Berryhill Quarter Horses, where they train horses for all-around events, as well as heading, heeling and tie-down roping. Berryhill approaches horses with an open mind, patience and the intent to bring out the horses’ natural talent so they can excel in their own niche.
Cindy Chilton-Moore, Claremore OK graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with a Production Option. She became an American Quarter Horse Association Judge in 1995. She was an AQHA Show Steward 2010-2015. She served on the AQHA Equestrians With Disabilities Task Force 2013 to 2020 and assisted in updating those rules. She represented OQHA as a member of the AQHA Region 8 Championship Horse Show Steering Committee 2008 until it was disbanded in 2017. Chilton-Moore has been an AQHA Professional Horseman 2008 to present. In 2014 the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association name Chilton-Moore the Most Valuable Professional Horseman. She was elected by OQHA as their President in 2014. She has an OQHA State Director from 2008 to the present. Three OQHA Past President presented her with volunteer of the year. She has assisted in raising $300K in sponsorships for the OQH Hall of Fame since 2014. Cindy currently serves as an AQHA National Director since 2018 and a member of the AQHA Public Policy Committee.
Cindy is married to AQHA Show Steward Gary Moore and they have four children and three grandchildren.
Skipa Stars Lace, owned by Jill Briggs, Pilot Point, TX. If you showed on the AQHA circuit during the 1980’s and 90’s, the name Skipa Stars Lace was synonymous with superstar. The mare dominated in both the English and western events and earned numerous championships. The 1984 grey mare was by Skipa Stars Buck and out of Scoots Lace and was bred by DE Corbin of Los Lunas, New Mexico.
Paula Thompson found the mare at the AQHA World Championship Horse Show in 1987, and bought her for former owner and daughter, Leigh Wewers Berryhill. Leigh felt that her life changed when she and the mare went to train with Jackie Krshka. She eventually sold Lace to Jill Briggs who gave her an amazing forever home.

Bobby Lewis, Overbrook OK. Bobby is QData’s #1 Rope Horse Breeder in 2023 and has won over 33 AQHA World Champion in Cow Horse and Roping. He is a National Cutting Horse Association Hall Of Fame Inductee. He has been a cornerstone in the AQHA Industry breeding, training and showing World renown horses. Bobby is one of the few versatile trainers in today’s equine industry that competes in National Reined Cow Horse Association and AQHA events. Whether it be Calf Roping, Cow Horse, Team Roping (Heading & Heeling), Cutting or Ranch Riding, Bobby continues to produce winners and always has many great horses for sale. Bobby is an AQHA Professional Horseman, an AQHA Judge and a member of Team Wrangler. There is a love and dedication that fuels his foundation for success. Bobby is married to Sherry Lewis.
