There’s nothing like the feeling of showing at a brand new horse facility in an area that supports the industry. Just south of the I-40 and one mile east of Highway 81 in El Reno, Oklahoma, exhibitors will find the Canadian County Fairgrounds, which has that beautiful new facility complete with an indoor arena.
It gets even better, as the Oklahoma Horse Show Association, founded in 2014, hosts a 5-show series there every year beginning each April. OkHSA is the largest all-breed association in Oklahoma, and they offer 14 divisions to their exhibitors. They use two main show arenas: a ranch arena and a performance arena that run concurrently.
Not only that, but their year-end awards banquet is inspiration to become a regularly attending exhibitor.
“We just hosted our 2022 year end banquet on January 15, 2023, and we gave out over 130 custom buckles and 130 custom medallions. We have over 135 members, and all our judges are accredited in at least one breed association,” says Jaclynn Pyle, President of Oklahoma Horse Show Association.
The Oklahoma also offers leadline for free!
