The American Quarter Horse Association is proud to announce that AQHA Corporate Partner Nutrena is now the title sponsor for the 2020 Nutrena Central, West and East AQHA Level 1 Championships.
The Nutrena Central, West and East AQHA Level 1 Championships are three pinnacle events for Level 1, Rookie and walk-trot competitors around the world. The Nutrena Level 1 Championships offer a variety of events and activities for competitors, friends, family and spectators to take part in throughout the show, including free Ride the Pattern clinics taught by AQHA Professional Horsemen and the AQHA Level 1 Championships Educational Series. The purpose of these levels of AQHA competition is for everyone from the minimally accomplished to beginner AQHA competitors to get in the arena and gain experience.
AQHA is pleased to have Nutrena’s continued support of AQHA members and professionals alike. Nutrena is one of the world’s largest equine nutrition companies, feeding more than 1 million horses per day. Nutrena contribute to AQHA members through events and initiatives such as the Nutrena Don Burt AQHA Professional Horseman and AQHA Professional Horsewoman of the Year awards; AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan); Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show; the AQHA Ranching Heritage Young Horse Development Program; and the Ranching Heritage Challenges. Nutrena also matches contributions from the Ride the Pattern Clinics, hosted at AQHA world championship shows where proceeds go directly to the AQHA Professional Horsemen’s Crisis Fund.
“Nutrena feels proud and privileged to strengthen our symbiotic relationship with AQHA through being the title sponsor of the three Level 1 Championships,” said Russell Mueller, Nutrena US equine product line manager. “These championships allow AQHA competitors from areas across the country to experience the power of competing against the best in their respective discipline. The growth of the Level 1 Championships is truly phenomenal, and we look forward to seeing the excitement continue.”
The 2020 Nutrena Central AQHA Level 1 Championships is April 8-11 at OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City; the 2020 Nutrena West AQHA Level 1 Championships returns April 15-19 to the South Point Equestrian & Events Center in Las Vegas; and the 2020 Nutrena East AQHA Level 1 Championships is April 29 – May 3 at the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, Ohio. Exhibitors can compete at only one Level 1 Championships each year.
Level eligibility is determined on a class-by-class basis. Exhibitors are encouraged to use the online level verification system at www.aqha.com/aqha-leveling-program to determine if they are Level 1 or Rookie eligible in a particular class. Walk-trot classes require that exhibitors be Level 1 eligible in their particular class.
