Sidney Kucera is one of the equine industry’s youth who is not only an accomplished rider, but is also deeply involved in her education and community in her home town of Madison, Nebraska. The youth of the equine industry are no ordinary breed. They are very talented individuals and continue to be successful even after they continue down their path of life. Sidney is a prime example of excellence. In addition to showing horses, she’s involved in many extracurricular activities outside of the equine industry including Mock Trial, One Act, Student Council, as well as being a Student Ambassador for Lutheran High. She is also very involved at her dance studio where she is a musical choreographer, a competitive dance member, and a dance team member at her high school.

Sidney and her trusty steed, GoodNHotBlaze or “Reggie,” have accomplished much throughout her youth career.  She has competed at the AQHYA World Show, the NSBA World Show, the All American Quarter Horse Congress and the AQHA Novice Championships. While showing amongst some of the most elite of athletes in the equine industry, she has accomplished much success. Her titles include: Reserve at the Novice Championships in the Rookie Western Pleasure, third in the Rookie Hunter Under Saddle at the Novice Championships, top 5 at both the Congress and the NSBA World Championship Show in the Novice Youth Hunt Seat Equitation and many more.

Sidney, like many youth, holds herself to the highest of standards. While participating in many activities, she remains focused on her education and maintains an exceptional grade point average. Her degree of involvement in such a variety of organizations leaves youth exhibitors like Sidney with skills they can carry with them for the rest of their lives. As the youth of today are the future of our industry, we continue to offer them programs and opportunities that will transform them from children, to young responsible adults, to fully grown respectable adults ready to change the world.

As always, it takes a village to accomplish your dreams. From parents to trainers, the talented and very patient adults of our industry help to shape our young minds and lead us down the right path. The National Snaffle Bit Association Youth Board would like to say thank you to all of the trainer’s and parents who continue to shape the young minds of our industry into champions. We wish the best luck to Sidney as she begins her next journey into college.
