Stillwater, Okla. – The No. 4 Oklahoma State equestrian team defeated No. 5 Baylor, 11-7, Saturday at Animal Science Arena.
The Cowgirls (6-3) have won six out of the last seven matches and finish with a 3-3 conference record.
Three riders from the equitation over fences team scored in the 90s for OSU Saturday. Senior Andrea Robbins earned her second Most Outstanding Performer award this season for her 93-84 win over Paige Parker. Senior Samantha Harrison defeated Alicia Gasser, 91-84, and freshman Jorden Davis tallied 78 en route to her 78-55 win over Ashley McGehee. Senior Sammy Elser scored a 91, but fell to Sam Schaefer, 92-91. OSU won the equitation over fences event, 3-2.
Robbins earned a point in the equitation on the flat event for her 74-73 win over Paige Parker. Baylor won the equitation on the flat event, 4-1.
In horsemanship, junior Katy Krshka earned her team-high seventh Most Outstanding Performer award for her 76-75 win over Bryn Lindley. With the win, Krshka moved to 8-1 this season in the event. Junior Lindsey McMullen also scored 76 as she defeated Parris Rice, 76-72.5. Senior Lauren Halvorson picked up her sixth win of the season with her 74-72 win over Jessica Leach and sophomore Paris Nottingham defeated Mary Brown, 72.5-68.5. OSU won the horsemanship event, 4-0.
