New Scholarship Opportunities for Appaloosa Youth!

From A Spot For the Future:

A Spot For The Future, a new Appaloosa youth scholarship fund, announces a minimum of 16 new $500 scholarships to be awarded at the 2024 Appaloosa Youth World Championship Show in Oklahoma City, OK, June 26 through July 3, 2024.

This organization and scholarships were established to create an investment in the future of the Appaloosa Horse Club, the future of the equine industry, and support our youth membership through their transition to successful young adults and future industry leaders.

As such, the Board of Directors for A Spot For The Future, met on Monday, January 22, 2024 and have determined at least two scholarships will be awarded in the following categories:

 

• Cattle
• Games
• Halter
• Hunter
• Ranch
• Showmanship
• Trail
• Western

 

Fundraising efforts, including an apparel sale, are underway to expand this scholarship program and provide additional scholarships to incentivize the participation at our youth world and regional shows and subsequently build our Appaloosa community. We are hoping, if funds allow, to award another round of scholarships at year’s end.

The complete structure of the awarding process will be published in the coming weeks. However, youth members across the world are eligible for these scholarships regardless of their overall placings at the show. Don’t wait; get those appaloosas out of their stalls or in from the back pasture and plan on attending the 2024 Youth World Championship Show!
