WHAT: #1 APHA SHOW in US in 2017
WHERE: Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at Expo Square
WHEN: Wednesday, August 1 – Sunday, August 5, 2018
Sponsored by the Kansas Paint Horse Association
Per Congress Chair Casey West, “The interest and numbers in Walk Trot Youth and Amateur classes continue to increase, and we’ve added classes to meet that demand. If you’re a walk trot exhibitor, riding either a regular registry or solid paint bred horse, we have a class for you.”
“In addition, we have added Amateur and Youth Performance Halter for both regular registry and solid paint bred horses. These classes were approved at the 2018 APHA Convention with early implementation. Further, we have split the Youth classes: 13 and under and 18 and under.”
Added Show Manager, Karen Kennedy, “We continue to offer NSBA Dual Approved classes and have increased to two NSBA judges for each P-O-R, not just one judge for each. Also, we continue to offer Trail, Western Pleasure, Ranch Riding and Reining Ranch classes for open, amateur, and youth exhibitors riding regular registry and/or solid paint bred horses. Judged by eight judges, these classes will take place on Saturday, August 4th, in the Super Duty Arena and will not start before 9:00 AM.”
