New AQHA World Show Adviser Program for AQHA International Members

Are you an AQHA international member who is interested in competing at an AQHA world championship show, but are unsure how? Look no further! The Association’s new AQHA World Show Adviser Program connects international members with AQHA Professional Horsemen to support their journey to compete at an AQHA world championship show. By participating in this program, international members will be paired with an AQHA Professional Horseman to serve as their AQHA World Show Adviser.

AQHA World Show Advisers will serve international members by encouraging their riding goals, connecting international members with American Quarter Horses and/or trainers, as well as accurately conveying the commitment of activities related to AQHA world show preparation and exhibition.

AQHA World Show Advisers will provide the following:

• At least one free consultation with the interested international member, outlining the expectations and timeline of the specific AQHA world show.
• An explanation of international qualification and participation requirements.
• Clarify the AQHA international horse leasing experience and form.
• Connect the international member with a trainer and/or horse.
• Provide a general estimate of expenses related to exhibiting at an AQHA world show.

Leasing an American Quarter Horse

Are you interested in participating in an AQHA world championship show, but are unsure of how to find an equine partner with which to compete? AQHA wants to help connect interested international exhibitors with leased horses, owned by AQHA Professional Horsemen in the United States.

The AQHA International Lease for World Championship Shows allows international exhibitors who are interested in competing at an AQHA world show the ability to participate by leasing an American Quarter Horse in the United States. To better connect international exhibitors with potential horses, an International Lease Horse Request Form has been created to notify AQHA Professional Horsemen of international exhibitors interested in leasing a horse.

Travel Restrictions

While we are all ready to get back into the show pen, the safety, health and well-being of AQHA international members is AQHA’s top priority. Considering the impact that the global pandemic has had on our lives, the Association realizes that travel in and outside of your country may not be a reality.
