“At the AjPHA World Show, the scholarships given made such an impact on the kids winning them,” stated Judy Ford, “that Tommy and I decided our support of the World Wide Paint Horse Congress would be in the form of two $250 scholarships.”

In the name of Ford Farms, a $250 scholarship will be awarded via random draw in All Age Youth Geldings and a $250 scholarship will be awarded via random draw in All Age Youth Mares. The recipients must be college bound, declare an accredited college in which enrolled, the youth or immediate family must own the horse, and show under all eight Congress judges. Leases are not accepted. Payments of the scholarship will be awarded to the college in the youth’s name.

“The Ford’s graciousness was infectious and prompted our Kansas Paint Horse Association Youth and Amateur clubs to jump in as well,“ stated WWPHC Chair Casey West. “Each is awarding a $500 scholarship. We can’t thank the Fords enough for what they do for Paint horse youngsters and it’s really exciting that the KPHA Youth and Amateur Clubs added to the mix.”

The Youth Club $500 scholarship will be awarded by random draw to any age youth entered in any youth class under all eight Congress judges. This scholarship will be awarded through a savings bond purchased and held by KPHA with a maturity date of the estimated college entrance date.

The KPHA Amateur Club elected to award their $500 scholarship by random draw in Amateur Horsemanship to an Amateur who is college bound or already enrolled in an accredited college declared by the Amateur. The Amateur must show under all eight Congress judges. Payment of the scholarship will be awarded to the college in the Amateur’s name.

Both $500 scholarships require horses shown must be owned by the Youth or Amateur or immediate family. Leases will be not accepted.
