EC Blog by: Maggie Bellville
It’s move-in day in Amarillo, Texas for the 2013 AQHA Adequan Select World Show! Tomorrow is the preliminaries in cutting and all the performance halter classes. It’s amazing how time has flown since last year- but we will all come together and act like it was just yesterday that we were here! As always, AQHA staff is here and helping us unload, find our stalls and bedding, and handing out drinks and advice.

And don’t forget the parties! Sunday night is a Margarita Night at the barns. And of course, the fabulous evening, Tuesday this year, at the AQHA Hall of Fame Museum. Don’t miss ’em! Also, every morning the ambassadors of the AQHA Foundation will serve coffee and lattes in front of the coliseum for FREE with tips going to the Foundation. This year, the unveiling of the pavers in front of the Museum and the art exhibit and sale are particularly noteworthy events.
Now here’s one thing that doesn’t get mentioned often. We need to appreciate and thank AQHA, because we are so fortunate to have the expertise and experience of such a great farrier like Craig Harrison there for the entire duration of the show. Craig is considered to be the best of the best, and boy, it truly provides peace of mind to know he’s there when we need him. He’s there early and won’t leave until the show is over. We are lucky to have him. Thanks to Rajeana and AQHA for Craig’s services. Go by and say hello and watch the master at work!
I will be blogging all during the week, so keep with Equine Chronicle.com for all the up-to-the-minute results, info, and yes, gossip! This should be fun!
Editor’s Note: Also, stay tuned for a new EC Blog from the Select World coming from Amateur exhibitor, Susan Wilson.
