The magic of World Equestrian Center Ocala is like no other. It’s true WEC Ocala is decked out for the holidays beyond compare, but the allure of “Disneyland for horses,” in addition to the draw of the place where Mary Roberts has sheltered more than one displaced animal from hurricanes, is on everyone’s bucket list.
It might be part of the reason why this year’s leadline at the Florida Paint Horse Club Holiday Classic, combined with the Georgia Paint Horse Club Ugly Sweater Extravaganza, boasted 23 (that’s right – 23) leadliners, but the show itself has also become a celebration right before Christmas for the Paint Horse lover.
The two back to back 4-judge PORS are managed phenomenally and judged by the best, and they offer a full slate of APHA and all breed classes, plus lots of fun.
This year’s show held 12/5 through 12/8, just wrapped up, with with judges: Keith McDonough, Robert Meneely, Sherry Haynes, Jennifer Goss, Shane G Young, Clint Fullerton, Jonathan Meilleur, Sandy Curl, and Michael R Ochetto.
