Leslie Lange, Karen Johnson, Abby Gettinger win Ranch Riding at 2015 QH Congress

This Friday at the 2015 All American Quarter Horse Congress kicks off a full day of Ranch Riding classes, and the first Congress Champion has already been named! A big congratulations goes to Leslie Lange and The Immortal who were just named the Congress Champions in a very competitive Senior Ranch Riding class.
The Immortal is the beautiful, 2005, bay stallion by Invitation Only and out of Zippo By Moonlight. He is a full brother to Only In The Moonlite. Owned and trained by Leslie and Tom Lange of Colorado, his first foals arrived in 2009. This handy stallion also has experience in Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Performance Halter Stallions, and Trail.

Recently, Lange and The Immortal were named the NSBA World Champions in Open Ranch Riding just a few months ago.
The Reserve Champion in the class was Robert Johnson with My Kisses Are Hot for Tuff Staton. Coming in third place was Steve Meadows with Smart Cutter Filly for Lisa Pahl.
Other classes that will take place today include: Jr. Ranch Riding, Amateur Ranch Riding, and Youth Ranch Riding. Stay tuned for more results coming soon…

Congratulations to Karen Johnson and GQH Summer Camp for winning Jr. Ranch Riding with a score of 223.50. Also with a score of 223.5 was the Reserve Champion, Steve Meadows with Shiners Surprise for Kaylynn Debernard. Third place was Clark Bradley with Guns Gal. Fourth was Bennie Sargent with Smart and Angelic for Kathleen Trommer.

Kaylynn Debernard and Shiners Surprise were 3rd in Youth Ranch Riding. Trainer Steve Meadows and Shiners Surprise were also Reserve Champions in Jr. Ranch Riding.
Karen Johnson also won the next class, Amateur Ranch Riding, aboard GQH Summer Camp. The Reserve Champion was Jenny Honey with Suddenlyoutoftheblue. Third was Kathy Burma with Tejons Shine. Fourth was Allysn Light with The Fresno Fox.
