WACO, Texas – South Carolina remains the nation’s top team in the latest National Collegiate Equestrian Association national team rankings, it was announced Tuesday.
The Gamecocks continue to hold the nation’s top spot following a win against Auburn that improved their record to 10-2 and gave South Carolina the top seed in the upcoming Southeastern Conference Championship. Georgia, which was idle moved into the No. 2 spot, while Oklahoma State moved to No. 3 following a win against then-No. 5 Baylor in Stillwater.
Auburn dropped two spots to No. 4, following its loss at South Carolina. New Mexico State is No. 5 following a win at home against SMU. Kansas State moved up one spot to No. 6 after defeating Baylor last Friday in Manhattan, Kan.
Baylor, which lost to Kansas State and Oklahoma State on the road, drops to No. 7. Fresno State improves to No. 8, while TCU is No. 9 and SMU breaks into the rankings at No. 10.
