Kough, Shidler, Preston, and Fortenberry Take Top Titles in Western Pleasure at 2013 AjPHA Youth World Show

The final day of the 2013 AjPHA Youth World Show in Fort Worth, Texas has been solely devoted to the discipline of western pleasure. Thus far, four World Champions and two Intermediate Champions have been named.

Starting the day off with a win in the Novice Youth 13 and Under Western Pleasure was Delaney Kough riding Gota Take A Chance. The Reserve Champion in the class was Abigail Love with Who Painted Me. Rounding out the top three was Caroline Nielson riding Stately Sensation.

In the Novice Youth 14-18 Western Pleasure, Kimmy Shidler returned from yesterday’s World Championship in Trail with Zips Juan Pat Star to win her second World Championship title of the show with Sensational Satinrose. The Reserve winner in this class was Katelyn Spencer riding For The Love of Gold. Third place was Gabrielle D’Agostini riding Invite Only Zippen.

Mackenzie Preston riding Brokers Lucky Kid picked up her third World Championship title of the show with an almost unanimous placing of four firsts and one second. The Reserve World Champion in the class was Georgia Vernal riding Fascination Sensation. Third place was Erin Griffin with her new mount, Figure On Fancy.

The Intermediate Champion in the 13 and Under Western Pleasure was also Erin Griffin. Olivia Eagles rode Chipped In Roses to a Reserve Intermediate title, and Taylor Roth and A Magicle Moment came in third.

The 14-18 Western Pleasure World Champion was Anne-Marie Fortenberry riding A Good Machine. Coming in Reserve was Brett Sanders riding My Legs R Sensational. Rounding out the top three was Taylor Dixon riding My Sensational Cookie.

The Intermediate Champion in the 14-18 Western Pleasure was Brett Sanders. The Reserve Intermediate Champion was Ashley Switzer riding Chromed Out Sensation.
