The judges have just been announced for the 2014 Virginia Quarter Horse Classic, which is scheduled to take place in Lexington, VA on April 10-13. Judges will include Jennifer Thompson, Jennifer Leckey, Tim Abler, Bruce Walquist, Clint Fullerton, and Curtis Reynolds.
A showbill is currently in the works and will be available in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we have some important details about the two featured events of the show.
Hylton Maiden $50,000 3 & Over Western Pleasure– This NSBA approved class will take place Saturday April 12, 2014. The deadline for entries is March 15th. The entry fee is $1,500. Late entries will be accepted until Friday, April 11th at 5:00 pm with an additional $500 late fee.
Harris Leather’s Versatility Horse Challenge- The winner of this fun class will receive a Harris show saddle! The entry fee is $500. The highest placing non-pro will receive $1,000. The remaining entry fees are then jackpotted and paid using the NSBA payout schedule. Each Challenge team will consist of one horse and one rider. The teams must complete a series of three special classes: Challenge Trail, Challenge Western Riding, and Challenge Western Pleasure.
