We’re saddened by the death of another great show horse that passed away recently. Design By Leaguer was born April 15, 1993, lived a tremendous life and show career, and passed September 20th, 2020 at the ripe, old age of 27.
Brenda Gower shared the following message on her social media regarding the peaceful passing of “Bevis.”
“It is with tremendous sadness that our family announces the passing of Design By Leaguer, fondly known as ‘Bevis.’ Bevis was a huge part of our daily lives and, this morning, when Uncle Kade and Beau (as he does every morning when he stays overnight) got up and immediately they head out to give Bevis his morning carrot when they discovered he passed away peacefully in his sleep.”
“Yes, Bevis was a multiple World and Congress Champion. He traveled more miles than most of us could imagine, but that wasn’t why we loved him. He was a trooper and these past few years he was our grandson’s favorite horse to come and see. He was just Bevis to him. He even got to ride him by himself.”
“Thank you Bevis for the many memories we will never forget. Bevis will be buried on our farm. Until we meet again….
Much love big guy.”
Our sincerest condolences go out to the Gower family following the passing of their family member.
