Information provided by Sheri Anderson

The American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup, an educational, leadership and competition-based event for AQHA youth members from around the world is set to take place July 3-13 in Bryan/College Station, Texas, and you can help! The international event held every two years and hosted by a different country is looking for all-around, reining and cutting horses that could be donated to the event for the participating youth to ride.

Volunteered horses will have their permanent AQHA record reflected that they participated in the Youth World Cup – and helped the next generation of international young riders learn more about the amazing world of the American Quarter Horse!

The Youth World Cup is more than just a competition – it offers a chance for international American Quarter Horse enthusiasts to learn from the industry’s leading riders and trainers. To level the playing field, competing team members do not show their own horses – they show horses donated to event by caring AQHA members like you.

Horses donated to the Youth World Cup receive unparalleled care and are under the watchful eye of many of the nation’s leading Professional Horsemen and Women. If you have an all-around, reining or cutting horse you’d like to donate to the Youth World Cup, please contact 2014 YWC horse coordinator Sheri anderson at Sheri_Anderson@icloud.com or by calling 979-571-4062

AQHA Members in and around Texas, who have horses they could donate and do not need help transporting horses to the Brazos County Expo, are encouraged to please contact Sheri as soon as possible so we can determine transportation needs for horses outside the area.
