We would like to send our sincerest condolences to the owner of a horse that was killed early Friday morning, August 21st, 2015, after it escaped from its stall at the Ancaster Fairgrounds in Jerseyville, Ontario. The show currently underway at the fairgrounds is the Ontario Quarter Horse Breeders Futurity.
According to a local news report by The Hamilton Spectator, the accident took place on Trinity Road South, and the horse was pronounced deceased on the scene. While the driver of the car was uninjured, this is a terribly sad day for the horse owner/novice amateur competitor and we’d like to send her our thoughts and prayers.
